Matthew has been involved in the family mid 20th century and furniture restorations business, 'Finishing Touches Restorations' since he was 15 years old. Long before 'Graham & Graham Design' was created, Matthew has been a big collector of Italian & West German ceramics, with a particular interest in mid 20th century ceramic animal figures.
Having graduated with an Architecture degree from UNSW, Matthew has been able to combine his passion and knowledge for design with his love for French Polishing & furniture design learnt from his father, Alan Graham.
All G&GD timber lampbases & fixtures are designed and handmade by Matthew himself.
Benny has always had a passion for vintage fabrics and textiles, whether it has been 70's retro prints from America, designer fabrics from Australia or vintage kimono fabrics from Japan. It was her love for colour and textiles that resulted in the making of beautiful handmade lampshades.
All lampshades are handmade in our shop by Benny, and can be made to your requirements.
Graham & Graham Design
A second generation family run business, who not only sell mid 20th century (retro & vintage) ceramic lampbases, but are also pretty creative. We design and make our own range of timber lampbases, lighting and custom made lampshades. It doesn't stop there though, we also offer architectural and interior design services, specialising in hospitality projects, particularly cafes, restaurants and bars.
